Meet the NatarajansShanker presently holds the post of the Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer at East Coast Railway in Bhubaneswar. Nargis is a domestic engineer who is also a published author and a prolific blogger. Both of them are indebted to the Indian Railways because it was during his probation at Khurda Road that the couple first met each other.
Thirty years have fled since, presenting them with two lovely children along the way. And better than any clock or calendar, Misha (Roshan) and Masha (Rumana) are the poignant reminders of their prolonged journey in life. On Masha's thirteenth birthday, she was presented with a 'Golden' gift and every member from the domestic field not only gave a toast to Champagne but also got drenched in his sparkling warmth. A few years later a one-eyed feline called Nelson not only entered their household but also ended up adopting all it's members. Two years back Masha decided to tie the knot and Robin became an integral part of the Natarajan household. In February 2011, when Nalini finally decorates Misha's life, God willing, the family will be complete! |
Meet the IyersAnanth is currently with TransCanada, based out of Toronto. Sylvia's dream was to work with people with intellectual disabilities, and this dream was fulfilled when she joined Community Living, Mississauga.
Ananth and Sylvia met in Mumbai through a phone call that Sylvia placed to Ananth's company complaining about a broken fridge. A few more phone calls led to a meeting some months later, and they finally decided to tie the knot after a few years of courtship. Ananth and Sylvia spent 20 years in Muscat, Oman, and that's where their two lovely girls Nalini and Natasha were born. They made it a point to fly to India every year and spend time with family in Mumbai. In 2001, the family shifted to Mississauga, Canada from the middle east. Sylvia's legendary cooking skills make her the star at every Diwali, Easter and Christmas party that the family throws. In 2009, Roshan had a chance to visit the Iyer family in December, where he got a first-hand experience of Sylvia's Christmas banquet.
